The European Radon Assocation is a voluntarily run organisation trying to highlight the health issues related to radon gas and provide a source of information for those who are interested in Radon exposure both professionally and generally. They got in touch with us because they were looking for a fresh, modern, uplift to their outdated and hard to navigate website. They wanted a WordPress managed website that would be more user-friendly and responsive.
We worked closely with one of the board members of the association to better understand their organisation and their objectives for the website. We looked at different styles of websites and eventually agreed on a direction for the design in keeping with the scientific purpose of the organisation. The design is simple, yet professional. We used the colours from their logo and a soft font to make the site feel comfortable and trustworthy. The site is easy to navigate in order to help users of all technical ability find their way to important resources and the members zone.
We built the website in WordPress so that the board members are able to manage the content throughout the initial build and in the future. It was important for the ERA (European Radon Association) to be able to protect certain events and documents for member privilege. We’ve also included features such as news items and upcoming events modules. Once the site was built we provided in depth content management training and we continue to offer technical support to the client.
EASL has been working with Soto for a few years now. I worked closely with Zoey and her team to create a more modern and mobile-friendly website that would give our team greater flexibility for managing content. Thanks to our collaboration using the Agile method the website development and launch went smoothly. The Soto team is very reactive and flexible and it is a pleasure to work with them. Zoey travelled regularly to our office in Geneva to assess the project and our future development needs.
